Faculty Commendation Award: This award is based on three factors: exemplary conduct, academic achievement, and a positive attitude toward school. The faculty will set the requirements for obtaining this award. This award is presented at the awards assembly in May.

Outstanding Student Award: This award is presented to the senior each year who
  1. provides an outstanding example of a student that fulfills the principles of Midland Classical Academy in their daily lives and
  2. demonstrates outstanding academic achievement.
Department Heads, in consultation with the staff, will select the student. The award is presented at the awards program in May.

Bryce Award: This award is presented to the junior high student who best exemplifies the attributes of friendliness in relationships, honesty in communication, persistence in difficulties, humor in every situation, and joy in living.

Character Awards: Periodically, the staff will recognize students that have exhibited desirable character traits. Honored students will be recognized during assembly and at the awards ceremony in May. Categories for recognition include:  Diligence, Encouragement, Faithfulness, Honesty, Humility, Loving-kindness, Patience, Respectfulness, and Thankfulness.

Graduation with Honors: A student may graduate with honors from MCA by achieving the Honor Roll for at least 4 years, 3 of which must be in high school. Exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis, with the mutual consent of the Dean of Students and Academic dean, for graduates meeting MCA graduation requirements, but only having attended MCA for three years. The exception would apply if such graduates are deemed to have sufficiently complied with standards required for a designation of Graduation with Honors, as determined in the sole discretion of the Dean of Students and Academic Dean. No exception need be granted, and exceptions granted shall not constitute precedent.

Service Awards: The Upper School rewards student service to both our school and our community. Students may earn a School Service Award by contributing 25 service hours to approved school projects throughout the school year. In addition, students may also earn a Community Service Award by contributing 25 service hours to local ministries or organizations. These awards will be presented at the awards night in May.
