PSAT/NMSQT Testing
10th and 11th grades
October 22
8:30 am to Noon
We will START at 8:30, so please be in your seat, ready to go. We should be done before lunch.
You MUST bring the device you completed the readiness check on, with you to the practice gym on the day you test. Your device must be fully charged. You may bring a charging cord, but we cannot guarantee there will be a place to plug it in. Your device needs to hold a charge for 3 hours.
There is NO option to take a paper and pencil exam if you forget your device or it is not fully charged. Bring your acceptable calculator and pen or pencils. You will find a list of acceptable calculators in the attached document, "PSAT/NMSQT Testing Rules." There is a built-in calculator in the testing app, Bluebook, but if you are not familiar with its use, bringing a calculator you are familiar with would be prudent.
You may bring a drink and a snack labeled with your name, to leave in the practice gym hallway. You will be able to consume this during the break.
You will leave your personal items, backpacks, phones, etc. in the main gym when you arrive at school. The main gym will be locked until the test is completed.
There will be no morning classes for 10th and 11th grade students on Wednesday, October 22. These are the only classes that will be affected on that day. All afternoon classes on that day will remain the same.
Attached is the Digital SAT Suite Fact Sheet for Schools and a link to the PSAT/NMSQT Testing Rules is provided, https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt/testing-rules
Please read both documents, especially section 1-3 of the Testing Rules.
